Waterfalls story

Of the 117 water cascades in Lebanon that are officially designated as waterfalls, 37 have changed names once, 21 twice, 17 thrice, five of them four times. Of the five, better-known today as “the fickle five,” one was named and renamed after Arab political leaders; Of the 17, one was named and renamed after Cold-War-era Soviet-bloc leaders; Of the 21, one was named and renamed after Western leaders; and of the 37, one was named and renamed after non-aligned movement leaders.

Here, I present four waterfalls with their past and present namesakes.
