Glitch

The rhombic basic shape of the sculpture refers to on of the basis form used in muqarnas constructions and Islamic geometrical ornament. The network of the pipes build a form which relates to a analytical geometric formula of a Swiss mathematician Jakob Steiner (1796 - 1863). By building this in three dimensional way the shadow of the sculpture leads back the the two dimensional basic construction of the piece and becomes a ornamental work on its own. Moving around the sculpture changes appearance and the pipes seem bended even though they are just straight.
