Sweet Talk. Commissions (Beirut)_1994, 1994/2017
In 1987, I committed myself to producing photographs in Beirut. I titled this commitment Sweet Talk and referred to the various photographic self-assignments as “Commissions.” I concentrated on Beirut’s residents, its buildings, streets, storefronts, gardens, and other objects and spaces in the capital.
The scenes presented here were recorded on color negative film in a medium format camera between 1992 and 2003 in Beirut.
