As a curated exhibition focusing on drawings, collages, and prints, paperpositions presents 19 of Hamburg's leading galleries for contemporary art and four guest galleries, each showing a selected artistic position that reinterprets this classic medium. The show will take place from August 27 to 29 in the majestic corner building Brandshof, the former headquarters of inland shipping company Schlesische Dampfer Co. Get your tickets here

The works can be auctioned on August 15, 2021 at 3 p.m. in an open air auction in the Stadthöfe (Palaishof). On-site admission and registration from 2 p.m.

The exhibition "Akram Zaatari: Dance to the End of Love" at Open Space Hamburg in context of Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg opened with a talk between the artist and Andrea Lissoni, director of the Haus der Kunst in Munich.
Dr. Andrée Sfeir-Semler was invited to speak at the RotarX Talks webinar series: "RotarX S2E6 - Contemporary Art in the Arab World" on Wednesday, May 19 via Zoom. The presentation was followed by a Q&A with Jean-François Parmentier as they discussed artistic practices in unsteady circumstances, places to see contemporary and traditional Arab art, and upcoming trends. Hosted by Rotary Club of Beirut cedars.

We are happy to announce that Timo Nasseri was selected to join the residency at Fundación Casa Wabi 2021 in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. Fundación Casa Wabi is an interdisciplinary project whose mission is to promote the exchange of ideas, fostering an open and constructive dialogue between national and international artists in a variety of practices and disciplines. The foundation is based in Puerto Escondido, on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca, 800km south of Mexico City.
We are happy to announce that Christine Streuli was recently selected to do a permanent installation supported by Swiss insurance company helvetia. Together with her team, Streuli realized the large-scale painting Vollkasko on the facade of a building located in Basel, Switzerland.
